Former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen further remanded

Former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen, who was remanded in connection with alleged misappropriation of public funds at the last Presidential Election, was further remanded till November 25 by Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today. 

He was charged with the misappropriation of public funds amounting to Rs. 9.5 million and Violation of Election Laws regarding the transportation of 12,500 IDP’s using 230 CTB buses to cast their vote at the Presidential election 2019.
