Danu warns public of online scam misusing his identity

Talk show host and actor Danu Innasithamby has issued a public warning, saying that his name, image, and videos are being misused by online scammers promoting fraudulent investment and trading schemes.

In a statement released today, Innasithamby clarified that he has never endorsed, supported, or been involved in any form of online investment or trading platform. The scams, which are being circulated via manipulated videos and fake advertisements on platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp, are designed to appear credible using edited interviews and fabricated endorsements.

“These scams are deliberately targeting vulnerable individuals with false claims and fake testimonials,” he said, adding that it is deeply distressing to know innocent people are losing their hard-earned money to such sophisticated frauds.

Innasithamby urged the public to remain cautious and vigilant, and called on his fans to immediately report any such misleading promotions using his name or likeness to the relevant authorities.

“Let’s work together to put an end to this,” he said.
