Body of former TNA PS member found inside a house in Chavakachcheri

A former Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) member was found dead inside a house at Arukuveli, Chavakachcheri in Jaffna this morning.

Chavakachcheri Police said the deceased has been identified as Subramaniam Sivapalan (51), who was a member of the Valikamam East Pradeshiya Sabha. The cause of the death is yet to be identified.

The body had been found after the residents informed the Police about a stench coming from the house in which the former PS member was living.                

The postmodern is yet to be conducted along with a PCR test. (Romesh Madushanka)
