Colombo, July 5 (Daily Mirror) - The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said that a fuel station will be established on Delft Island for the first time.
CPC Managing Director Mayura Neththikumarage said the project is expected to strengthen tourism activities and enhance the livelihoods of the local community by ensuring a more reliable fuel supply.
He said that the existing fuel distribution system on Delft Island has been unstructured and inefficient, adding that the new fuel station will streamline fuel distribution and provide easier access to fuel for both residents and visitors.
Neththikumarage further said that the foundation stone for the fuel station was laid on Delft Island today. Construction is expected to be completed within the next few months, after which the facility will commence operations.
