If the CEB is privatised soon, the hike can be less than 50% . Without any unions that is. If unions come in , privatisation would be of absolutely no use!

All industries should be encouraged to add solar power to reduce cost. In the Central valley area in California farmers and industries are generating 30 gigawatts energy on average daily to reduce cost. So, why can't Sri Lanka do the same.

Maithripala Sirisena caused the generation crisis. The CEB was totally supportive of them PM Ranil proposal for new power plant. We got news Sirisena took behind the scenes payment from private power producer to block the proposal for another government own major plant.
