A partially burnt body of a 34- year- old businessman has been found inside a car at Asiri Mawatha in Kohuwala on Wednesday night, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said the car, a ‘Wagon R’ type, in question had been completely burnt and was found around 11.30 on Wednesday night. The deceased has been identified as a resident of Bathiya Mawatha in Kalubowila, Colombo.
The Spokesman said that they had received information that the deceased had gone to a certain place for dinner and had been returning in that car. The Government Analyst and Judicial Medical Officer visited the scene and Magisterial inquiry was also held, he said. The victim’s body had been kept at the Colombo South Teaching Hospital for Autopsy. The Kohuwala Police are conducting further investigations.
