Teachers and principals who were on 24-hour countrywide token strike today staged a protest in front of the Fort Railway station demanding a salary increase, rectification of salary anomalies, and to release teachers and principals from paperwork. SriLankan Airlines celebrated Women’s Day with the operation of the first all-female crew flight from Colombo to Singapore. Flight UL306 landed in Singapore this morning carrying more than 170 passengers onboard.
