Colombo, Jan. 17 (Daily Mirror) - An allround performance by Praveen Maneesha helped Lumbini MV cruise through to their third successive outright win when they defeated Zahira College, Colomb by nine wickets in the Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter concluded at the BRC ground.
Lumbini MV in reply to Zahira’s score of 154 runs resuming from their overnight score of 185 for 6 went on to make 235 and Zahira batting the second time fared no better as they were bowled out for a low score of 115 runs which left Lumbini MV an easy target of 35 runs which they achieved with ease.
De Mazenod Kandana too gained an outright win by eight wickets against St. Joseph Vaz Wennappuwa in another match played at Kandana and in the other matches that were played saw St. Peter’s along with Dharmaloka MV Kelaniya and Carey recording first inning wins.
