Royal College were four wickets away from  from victory in the 144th Battle of the Blues encounter with S. Thomas’ College laying down the anchor post-lunch in their attempts to battle through the final two sessions.

Charuka Peiris and Senesh Hettiarachchi were at the crease and have a mammoth task ahead of them if they are to hold off the Royalists.

S. Thomas’ College: 98 for 6 in 39 overs (Target 342)  (Senesh Hettiarachchi 12 not out, Charuka Peiris 11 not out, Nethwin Dharmarathne 2/17)
