Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) yesterday said it will back the No Confidence Motion (NCM) which SLFP is to bring in against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, SJB MP Hector Appuharmy said today.

Mr. Appuharmy told during a news briefing that it is the need of the hour.

"No confidence motion against the Prime Minister will reveal whether he has a majority in Parliament or not," he said.

Also MP Appuharmy said Speaker should get his act together and consider that President had vacated his post. " Speaker should go ahead and get the House to elect a new President," he said.

Asked about the criticism made by the protestors  on the Opposition leader, he said only a few in the protesting group holds that ideology. (Yohan Perera)

Dear Speaker, Please do not announce the resignation of president until the NCM against PM is passed. Then no violation of constitution.

Excellent point. Summon the parliament today as scheduled as the MPs were ready to attend.
