SJB MPS are likely to attend Parliament sessions today following an assurance given by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana that he would make a statement on the security of MPS.
“It is my responsibility, therefore I shall make a statement,” the Speaker told Daily Mirror.
Meanwhile, MP Mujibur Rahman said several SJB MPS met the Speaker yesterday and discussed the situation.
SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara had participated in the meeting with the speaker according to him. The SJB MPS decided to boycott Parliament sessions following incidents that took place over the weekend. (YOHAN PERERA)
