The issue that most of the MPs in the legislature have not read or if read, can not understand the contents of the Sri Lanka constitution. The only a few MPs who know the constitution in detail and that is Mr. Sumandiran.

What is this debate about an elected president and an appointed president? Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe was appointed as the president of Sr Lanka through a proper constitutional process, whether we like it or not. If he assumed power through an unconstitutional means, you could argue against that and create a public debate. First, the NPP must respect the constitution before preaching to others.
