Former Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. World’ Pushpika de Silva reported to the Piliyandala Police this afternoon to record a statement regarding the investigations into the attack on journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrema's residence in Piliyandala.
Pushpika had been informed to appear before the police at 10.00 am on February 23.
However, she had informed the police through her lawyer that she couldn't report to the police station on that day and requested another day.
Accordingly, she was asked to arrive at the police station on Monday (28).
Police earlier said that a statement would be recorded from her as she had taken part in an interview conducted by Samarawickrema on his YouTube channel.
Earlier, police also recorded a four-hour long statement from Ape Jana Bala party leader Saman Prasanna Perera who had also taken part in an interview with Samarawickrema on his YouTube channel.
