The temporary power cuts that have been in operation across the island during the past few days will not take place from tomorrow (22), Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) Chairman Vijitha Herath said.
He said the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant (NCPP) where the technical issue occurred resulting in the islandwide power cuts, had now been fixed.
The CEB earlier on Tuesday said a power cut of two hours and 45 minutes would come into effect from August 17 to be continued for four days due to the breakdown at the NCPP.(Sheain Fernandopulle)
