Instead of advising the President through Facebook, people can strengthen their home economy by marketing their products through Facebook. Colombo District Parliamentarian and Kotte Municipal Councillor Madura Vithanage said.

He said this while addressing a ceremony held to donate financial assistance to low income Samurdhi families.

While addressing the event, he said the government's ambition is to give people a good economic srengenth by next year and not to make them wait for donations from other countries.

It is the government's intention to manufacture all types of imported goods, such as candles, torches, kites and even Vesak lanterns, in our country instead of waiting for them to arrive.

Therefore, the President has stopped importing a number of goods, so the people should produce those goods in order to strengthen the economy of the country, and Parliamentarian Vithanage said that he will extend his fullest support to that cause. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

Why? You want all FB users who comment to be arrested? Market products through FB? Very soon even the well established exports will also come down. Wait and see! (Hope I won't be questioned because of this comment?)

People are advising the president to educate him on what the reality is , unfortunately it seem like he too naive to understand BTW if you are giving pressure washer to samudhi recipients then they must be well off !

What a comment. Does all the public have face book accounts to see these advertisements, when they cannot even read English or does not have access to a computer. In which planet are you living.

FB users have taken to advise the President via FB, because no imports and already imported goods are stuck in the Harbour, what products can be marketed except the image of SLPP.
