Japan wants to become UN Security council member. India of course does too. However, us to support either too much means, we go against Russia and China. Japan must show us greater involvement than India, and so far they never speak against us, so better for us to ally ourselves closely to Japan. Better give Japan who will never be a security threat to us a chance over India, in their diplomatic UN ambition. India if worse comes to worse may seek military solution to get what they want from us. Us and Japan will always be mutual understanding and respect.

Japan is a great country which rose against all odds after World War II. They transformed the country like no other, with minimal natural resources. Today, their education system, skills, expertise, industries are the very best in the world. Their public servants are some of the best in the world. Their work ethics are unparalleled. It is like sky and earth compared with SL. Only if SL useless politicians and public servants can learn 10% of Japan's. Sadly, it will never happen. SLankans wait for religions and useless spiritual beliefs to solve their problems.

We have been hearing and hearing of Japan’s willingness to take a lead in Creditor talks, but that is about all. It just like we telling the UNHRC we are willing to comply with requirements, but again that is about all
