SJB Parliamentarian Harin Fernando today said that if no one was willing to lead the country, Harsha De Silva could be made a caretaker President for 6 months and the country could be handed over to him.
Speaking in Parliament, Harin said, today his children were ashamed to call their father an MP and all opposition political party leaders must unite to achieve the people's demands.
He also called on these leaders to leave aside their personal political objectives and join together for the sake of the people.
Harin further said considering the present national crisis he will not take his salary for one year and will not eat in the Parliament canteen.

High time the president and the Ministers go to the people with their begging bowl for forgiveness and mercy. Not to other countries. President must make a public address accepting defeat. Ask that he be allowed to correct within a care taker government. The president does not need a rowdy in Johnston to speak to the citizens on his behalf.
