Well, kicking away Norway for their getting their hand in the LTTE problem seems to have backfired. Same man who still has the grudge about disrespect towards that matter is back about Climate Change issues. Sri Lankan don't really know how the world works, never respecting a guiding hand that in future could even feed it. Always just get up in arms for years for the democratic countries condemning Human Rights issues. Even yesterday's Galle face decisions will cost the whole nation for coming years while we remain a non-democratic country.

He was charged by the UN OIOS for misusing UN funds.

Kamu Seeni Monday, 10 October 2022 05:49 PM

I just saw too Erik Solheim is no more United Nations Environment Program Executive Director since the UN OIOS. What does DM know to identify him being in the role? Why is he coming here again?

Kamu Seeni Monday, 10 October 2022 05:50 PM

Why Ranil meeting man who resigned for misusing funds? I guess, crooks support other crooks.

No to UNHRC Monday, 10 October 2022 04:57 PM

Prabakaran the evil one LTTE leader is dead, but his diaspora and wicked men like Solheim will try to revive the mentally corrupting movement. Even India is now continuously complaining in UN HCR problems. We have to refuse about environment money, or climate change money because otherwise it maybe back door way to support for LTTE to come back again.

Give the 13 amendment. Rather than being bogged down with the South who are dishonest, corrupt and and lazy, the Tamils who are hardworking and put in honest day's work will develop. Through out world history weak and lazy communities have been overcome by hardworking and inventive communities

I though he was dead. Now I find that the dead man is walking.

Can you all read the speech delivered by the first minister of Scotland. Broaden your knowledge. Can Eric Solheim, the chauvinistic Sinhalese MPs read Hon Ms Nicola Sturgeon’s speech for an independent Scotland.

Daily Mirror, he is not the ED of the UNEP. "In May 2016, Solheim was appointed Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme. A 2018 internal audit by the United Nations Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS) questioned Solheim's ability to lead the UNEP, particularly in light of his "extensive travel patterns" and general management style. As a consequence, the governments of Denmark, Sweden, Japan, Belgium and the Netherlands halted their funding to UNEP, leaving the organisation facing a major funding crisis. On 20 November 2018, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres accepted Solheim’s resignation, after asking him to step down."

Yes the whole world ( except communist China ) is ganging up against poor innocent Sri Lanka. We all know that our tri forces are all hero's and guilty of nothing just like our wonderful politicians. They have led us into a green and sunlit land of plenty..............oh wait i'm thinking of Switzerland.

The News is wrong. Erik Solhiem is NOT the present Executive Director. Read this UN announcement: 20 February 2019 Ms. Inger Andersen of Denmark - Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Following her nomination by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, the General Assembly today elected Inger Andersen of Denmark to a four-year term as Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Will the Editor correct the news please. Erik Solhiem published a book full of lies about Sri Lanka and Norwegian relations/aid assistance.
