Some 45 artistes in a dance troupe which had taken part in the Kandy Esala Perahera have been tested positive with Covid-19, Health Authorities said.

They have been tested positive with the virus following the Rapid Antigen Tests conducted on some 76 artistes in a dance troupe which had participated in the Perahera representing the Kataragama Devalaya.

They were subject to RATs after completing the fourth Randoli Perahera and they were removed from the Perahera and their close contacts have also been sent for quarantine. (Shane Seneviratne)
