Drug addict arrested for breaking into Aravinda’s home
A man, having Rs.1 million in his possession, was arrested in connection with the robbery of former cricketer Aravinda de Silva’s home in Kollupitiya.
Foreign and local currency worth Rs. 4 million was reported to have been robbed from the safe of Mr. de Silva on October 21.
Police said the man was a known drug addict who is said to have spent up to Rs.100,000 to satisfy his craving for drugs.
The Colombo Fort Police are investigating.
