Two-week test runs to revise several train timetables

Colombo, March 25 (Daily Mirror) - The Railway Department has decided to revise several train timetables on the Puttalam line as well as on the main and northern railway lines as per a two-week test run schedule starting today.

Several train timetables have been revised with the objective of preparing the most suitable schedule for the passengers on these routes.

This is being implemented with the aim of revising the train schedules on the Kelani Valley railway line as well as the coastal line.

The time revision was undertaken after obtaining the comments, suggestions as well as complaints from the commuters to provide a more appropriate schedule.

This time table needs to be scrapped and replace all the idiots making railway timetable and making timetable more effectively efficient.

Railway time tables are made to cater only governments servants. This tend to leave government servants early from the office. Not think about private sector workers, the engine of growth, This should change now

These are seasonal jokes only found in Sri Lanka. Where did hear of suspension for six months of train routes to do maintenace? Where did you see train engines belching thick black smoke polluting the environment and everyone knows it and will do nothing. Where did you see Ministers who may have never travelled on a train for years or perhaps in his life time but made the Minister in charge of this subject.
