The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has urged owners of rooftop solar panels to voluntarily switch off their systems by 3 pm today.

CEB said that due to significantly reduced electricity demand, temporarily switching off solar panels is necessary to maintain the reliable and stable operation of the national power grid during the ongoing disaster period.
