Samantha Vidyaratna files complaint over online attacks targeting his child

Colombo, Oct. 9 (Daily Mirror) - Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure Samantha Vidyaratna appeared before the Cyber Crimes Division of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today to lodge a complaint over online attacks directed at his child.

Police sources said the minister’s complaint was linked to social media posts that began circulating following a statement made in Parliament by MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, which allegedly referred to the minister’s child.

Minister Vidyaratna has requested the CID to take necessary legal action against those responsible for spreading defamatory content on social media.
