The pressure exerted by parents on their children during primary education from Grades 1to 5 should be stopped and the necessary environment will be prepared to reduce its competitiveness, Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said.
However, the Grade Five scholarship examination will be held in the future, he assured.
In order to evaluate students, measures are taken to evaluate their good skills by recognizing the skills displayed by children for activities outside the classroom, the Minister added.

It's not parents who put pressure on little minds, it's the education system and the teachers. Please educate the teachers to understand that child is not a small adult..

Why do you van need to have the grade 5 scholarship evaluations can be done from Grade 4-5 and based on the child’s performance during 2 years scholarship can be granted. This way there’s no pressure B on the child as well as the parent pressuring the kid And no competition too
