Half baked Sri Lankan airman. Probably taken into the force on the recommendation of a politician after a back hand deal.

Haha, it could be the case. If there are a few more similar shootings, very possible they are trial runs and something bigger might happen. That’s why should not give anyone the authority to use weapons as they please. Must respect the rule of law.

It’s not “ misfire”. The man just doesn’t know how to be careful with the weapon.

It is best that a extensive background check be conducted on this Airman including his political affiliation ect., Also, who has detailed him to man this said place of incident.

This is unbelievable!!!!! How could that happen? What if someone died or seriously injured as a result? A gun cannot misfire. Obviously, the man had no proper training. Not surprised at all, given it happened in Sri Lanka.

Thank God it did not hit a passenger. How come a gun misfires if it was not loaded.

Sad to see the comments by some silly KNOW ALLS about this incident. Whats the use of a weapon in the hands of a soldier if its without ammunition? Is the weapon to be used to pound Paddy/Rice.? Check around the records in the World to see how many such incidents has happened in the various Governmental Armed Services of the Countries. FYI, these are NOT called MISFIRES but are ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGES. fortunately NO damage done. Authourities are doing the necessary Checking why this came about. Ha, Haaaw, to the Know all Politically Biased previous commentators.
