We have to thank China for building us this magnificent tower , which is a constant envy of India. Just imagine we had entrusted the Indians to build this tower, by now cracks would have started to occur in the building structure and it would now be boarded up and shut for safety reasons.

Paranoid as usual. You would have died of hunger if India has not provided aid to the tune of US$4Billion, when everyone else turned their back on Sri Lanka, including your China that had paid hefty commissions on all projects to Rajapakse clan.

It is unfortunate that we have bitter and twisted individuals like you in our society who are detrimental to SL.

Not just cracks, if the Indians built it, it would have collapsed by now.

That's the reason that all the B_____s who ate the Rice, Lentils, Milk food SL got under Indian Grant and Loan, hand their Abdomen, Kidneys, Bowels CRACKED and had to hospitalised!! You are right, it just cracks and hopefully, our doctors did a GOOD job of Plastering with some "Plaster of Paris" to RESTORE service and continue LIFE!!! God Bless!!

@Wiraj, India gave us 4B and dumped their expired and sub standard products on us and so far total economic returns for them should be in excess of USD 16 billion. It was a short term investment. China built solid infrastructure that we can continue to use in generating revenue for several decades. Look at even BMICH which was a gift from China that stands strong and modern even after almost 50 plus years. These Indian lorry busses consume more fuel and damaging our roads.

Only 50000th foreign visitor? What about locals? Don't we matter? This dumb tower isn't the reasons come to sl, they come for nature and beaches not this crap, that money could of gone to improving roads/schools/training for people who lack skills so we can go forward into digital age as a whole country/ but for some just show a shiny trinket and they praise you, what a bunch of trash, does this tower have communication capability? Anyone monitor it for in/outbound data transfers? With the possible war between India and China, this will be the first target hit by India, sri lankans easily fooled by shiny objects

Please give the tower it's correct name "Tower that made Mahida and his sons rich'

Chinese colony in the Indian Ocean Thursday, 01 February 2024 05:27 PM

It is just a small gift from our good friends the Chinese as a token of appreciation for this beauiful island paradise in the Indian Ocean which sooner than later will eventually end up as a Chinese colony in the Indian Ocean.

@,Gt, This is the discriminatory and master slave mentality of those managing this tower. These people think that a person with a foreign passport and white skin is a foreigner. For them, Sri Lankan origin but foreign passport holders are not foreigners. This discriminative mentality exists in hotels too.
