Liquor outlets to re-open tomorrow

Licensed liquor sales outlets will be opened from tomorrow in full compliance with the guidelines issued by the health authorities to control the spread of Covid-19, the Excise Department said.

Commissioner General of Excise issued instruction to all Assistant Commissioners, Superintendents of Excise and all Excise OICs in this regard.

Accordingly, retail licence (F.L 4) and beer, ale, stout and wine licence for retail sale (22A) will be allowed to open.

its not simply prominence for booze ,but you need to understand the government makes a lot of money by heavily taxing this industry. In addition the industry provides high level of employment around the nation, and these employees depend on salaries to provide essential items for their families.
