Kananathan congratulates Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on electoral victory

Colombo, July 7 (Daily Mirror) - Former diplomat Ambassador Kananathan, who has maintained a close and long-standing relationship with Ethiopian Prime Minister and Chairman of the Prosperity Party Dr. Abiy Ahmed, has extended his heartfelt congratulations following the Prosperity Party’s decisive victory in Ethiopia’s parliamentary elections.

In his congratulatory message, former Ambassador Kananathan described Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed as one of Africa’s most dynamic and visionary leaders, noting that the election results reflect the strong confidence and trust the Ethiopian people have placed in his leadership and in the Prosperity Party’s steadfast commitment to safeguarding national interests, advancing sustainable development, and improving the well-being of all Ethiopians.

 Kananathan expressed his confidence that, under Dr. Abiy Ahmed’s continued leadership, Ethiopia will continue to build on its achievements and further strengthen its peace, stability, economic transformation, and regional influence.

He wished Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed good health, continued success, and every achievement in in leading Ethiopia toward greater prosperity and progress.
