Girl raped by three young men including brother

Colombo, July 7 (Daily Mirror) - A 12-year-old schoolgirl of Bogahakumbura in Welimada has been raped by three young men at times, and one of them is her 21-year-old brother.

She has been raped at times for the last two years by the suspect young men.

Investigations revealed that her mother had a paramour in Madurankuliya in Puttalam and that she visited him often while living with her husband.

The girl had been raped first by two young men in Madurankuliya during one of her visits there with her mother in 2024 and, since January 2026, by her own brother.

The girl was admitted to the Welimada Base Hospital for medical examination.

OIC Bogahakumbura Police CI T.R.N.R. Bandara is conducting further investigations on the instructions of ASP Udayakumara and SSP Bandarawela Division P.M.G.Perera to arrest the suspects.
