Colombo, Feb 29 (Daily Mirror) - A famous singer of Tagore songs, Ms. Shama Rahman from Bangladesh, arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this evening, the Airport and Aviation of Sri Lanka (AASL) said.
They said Ms. Rahman arrived at 4.30 p.m. from Dhaka, Bangladesh, on flight UL 190 and was warmly welcomed.
Ms. Shama is a famous singer in Bangladesh and India. She is the ambassador of Tagore songs worldwide. Shama Rahman is a wide-ranging traveller who carries the philosophy of Tagore.
Addressing the media, she said that she had arrived in Sri Lanka once before and added that Bangladesh has very good relations with Sri Lanka.
