July.08 (Mirror Sport) - England Crush India by 125 Runs in Record T20 Rout, Take 2-0 Series Lead
England delivered a ruthless all-round performance to inflict India's heaviest-ever T20 International defeat, cruising to a commanding 125-run victory in the third T20 at Trent Bridge to move 2-0 up in the five-match series.
After posting an imposing 201/7, England's pace attack ripped through India's batting line-up, bowling out the world champions for just 76 in 11.4 overs.
Phil Salt led the charge with a superb 70 off 44 balls, while Sam Curran provided the late fireworks with an unbeaten 41 from 24 deliveries to lift England past the 200-run mark.
India's chase collapsed almost immediately as Jofra Archer (3-29) and Josh Tongue (4-28) produced a devastating burst of fast bowling, reducing the visitors to 52/5 inside the powerplay. Teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi managed only 13 before falling to Archer's hostile short-ball attack.
The visitors never recovered as England wrapped up the innings in just 70 deliveries, recording India's biggest defeat by runs in T20 Internationals and their second-lowest total in the format.

With the emphatic victory, England take a commanding 2-0 lead and need just one more win in Bristol to seal the five-match series with two games to spare.
