The Colombo District Court today issued an enjoining order preventing the operation of an explanation letter sent by Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Chairman Maithripala Sirisena to former SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara.
Colombo District Court Judge Sandun Vithana made this order taking into consideration a plaint filed by Dayasiri Jayasekara who was recently ousted from his role as the General Secretary of the SLFP. This enjoining order will be effective till October 5.
Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara, through his lawyer had challenged the legitimacy of the letter dated September 18, 2023 issued by SLFP Chairman and former President Maithripala Sirisena, calling for explanations prior to taking disciplinary action against him over several allegations. He contended that the party Chairman is not vested with any powers by the party constitution to issue such a letter in an arbitrary manner. (Lakmal Sooriyagoda)

Hey DAYA, this is some fantastic news! Greedy SIRA is in a bit of a pickle now. It's quite amusing how he's missing the basics here. He should've handed you a charge sheet and asked for an explanation before taking action. Looks like he's forgotten about the norms of fair play. Is he still thinking he's the king? Maybe just in his dog's eyes! His self-realization day is approaching fast. Keep rolling and consider sending him on a one-way trip to POLOANNARUWA for a lesson he won't forget.
