Colombo, December 12 (Daily Mirror) - Blue Skies Aviation Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, one of Sri Lanka’s leading aviation service providers, has extended vital support to national relief efforts by donating aviation lubricants worth Rs. 5 million to the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF).
The donation was formally handed over to Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) by the company’s Managing Director, Wing Commander Don Asitha Manage (Retd), at a ceremony held at the Defence Ministry on 10 December 2025.
The contribution consists of high-grade AeroShell 500 lubricants, required for the maintenance of Bell 412 and Bell 212 helicopters. These helicopters are currently deployed for humanitarian and relief operations across the country following the recent disaster.
Officials highlighted that maintaining the airworthiness of SLAF aircraft is critical, as they continue to play a key role in rescue missions, emergency response, and the distribution of essential supplies in affected areas.
