The Day 2 - SLT Speedup Cycle Sawariya started from Embilipitiya on its way to Bandarawela on 25th of September morning. The cyclists traveled through Ambalantota, Hambanthota, Weerawila, Wellawaya, Ella to reach Bandarawela covering a distance of 156 Km. The race was flagged off by Mr. Sanjaya Kumara, Deputy General Manager (SLT) - Sabaragamuwa Province.
According to the day 1 race performance, the Tour Leader Jersey was received by Chamika Sandun Kumara of Sri Lanka Navy team whilst Chamod De Silva of Sri Lanka Port Authority was received the Best Young Rider Jersey. Chamika Sandun Kumara of Sri Lanka Navy team was also received the Best Spinter Jersey and handed over to Nihal Silva in the same team. The King of Mountain jersey was received by Viran Ramesh of Sri Lanka Port Authority. All these jersey winners were travelled to the finish wearing their jerseys.
The winner of the day 2 was Sujith Hasantha of Sri Lanka Port Authority team. The 1st and the 2nd runners-up were Chamod De Silva of Sri Lanka Port Authority team and Janaka Hemantha of Sri Lanka Navy team respectively.
Third day race stared 9.00am in the morning today from Bandarawela and will travel through Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and mark the finish at Kurunegala.
