BoC rebuilds Jaffna railway station

Beginning operations after 23 years of disuse, Bank of Ceylon (BoC)-sponsored Jaffna railway station will be opened on October 13, 2014, by President Mahinda Rajapakse.
With the accomplishment of this project, northern commuters will be able to get in touch with the rest of the country much more conveniently.
Understanding its responsibility as a prominent government bank, BoC proudly involved itself in the ‘Uthuru Mithuru’ project, by making a significant contribution to rebuilding the largest railway station in the northern railway line.
Reopening of the Jaffna railway station will pave the way for a new economic and social awakening by helping to overcome the infrastructure and livelihood barriers to developing the socio-economic setting of the region.
For the convenience of all those going through the Jaffna railway station, BoC has installed an automated teller machine (ATM) within the premises.
Bankers to Nation, BoC has always been in the forefront starting with the opening of the Jaffna branch in providing banking and financial services to northerners.
