Referring to the false rumors that the son of the first Sri Lankan COVID-19 infected patient has also been infected with the virus, Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said today that the rumors were utterly false.

The Government Information Department said in a statement that the COVID-19 patient in Sri Lanka is currently being treated at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) and his family members have already been quarantined.

Furthermore, the Director General said the government has taken all necessary steps to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
