Katuwapitiya: Police probing stone attack on statue of St. Sebastian

The Katana Police are investigating a complaint that the statue of St.Sebastian located near the Mahahunupitiya Junction in Katuwapitiya was stoned by some unknown miscreants.

Police said the glass covering the statute was cracked.

They said security had been provided to the other statues in Negombo following the incident.

Meanwhile, a protest was held outside St. Sebastian Church in Katuwapitiya yesterday demanding justice for the victims of the Easter Sunday attacks. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
