The United Health Employees Union (UHEU) today staged a protest march from the National Hospital, Colombo to the Health Ministry citing numerous demands including making permanent of all substitute and casual workers who had completed 180 days of their service.
The protesters broke into the Health Ministry premises. A van belonged to the Ministry was damaged during the protest. Pix by Nimalsiri Edirisinghe
