The price of petrol (Octane 92) was increased by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) by Rs. 3 a litre from midnight today while the Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (LIOC) increased it by Rs. 7 in addition to increasing Petrol Euro 3 also by Rs. 7.
This came following the monthly fuel price revision and the Finance Ministry said prices of other varieties of fuel would remain unchanged.
Accordingly, CPC will sell Petrol (Octane 92) at Rs.138 a litre.
Following the fuel price revision, other fuel prices would remain unchanged, the ministry said.
The price of Lanka Kerosene will also remain at Rs. 70 a litre.
LIOC Senior Vice President (Finance) Pramod Jain said following last night's price revision, they would sell Petrol (92 Octane) at Rs. 147 and Xtra Premium Petrol (Euro 3) at Rs. 153 a litre while the prices of other varieties would remain unchanged. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
