A total number of 212 COVID-19 positive cases were reported by this morning, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.
They said 45 among them were overseas returnees and the rest (167) were locals.
The majority of the infected were reported from the Kurunegala District and the figure stood at 33, NOCPCO said.
Meanwhile, the Operation Centre said, 32 cases from Kalutara, 31 from Gampaha and 71 cases were reported from other districts.
91,136 cases linked to the Minuwangoda and Brandix clusters and 88,077 cases affiliated to the Peliyagoda fish market cluster have been reported by this morning, the centre noted.
A total number of 90,908 patients have left hospitals and treatment centres after having completely recovered from the viral infection.
Moreover, 95,948 COVID-19 cases have been reported within the country so far by this morning, and 91,307 of them have returned home completely cured.
Meanwhile, 3,033 COVID-19 patients are still being treated at centres.
During the past 24 hours ending at 6.00 am today, 157 patients have left the treatment centres completely cured. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
