Attorney General Dappula de Livera has raised concerns regarding the failure on the part of the CID to brief him on the progress on investigations into the Keith Noyahr abduction case.
He has communicated his concerns to acting IGP C.D. Wickramaratne and asked him to inquire why the CID had delayed compiling the progress report.
The AG said in writing that it was unsatisfactory for the CID to have failed to submit the report even after a lapse of two months after requesting the CID Director to submit the progress report.
He also directed the acting IGP to inform him about the reasons for the delay.

What's the point? Even if you file a case, it will have some loophole for the defence to argue. Another Avant-garde!
