A pistol along with six bullets has been detected from an unaccompanied passenger baggage that came from Japan by the customs officials on duty at a baggage warehouse in Dematagoda.
A suspect was also taken into custody during the initial investigations carried out by the Customs.
The suspect and the contraband were handed over to the Dematagoda Police for further investigation.
