CWC pledges support to Gota

The Executive Committee of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress (CWC) had decided to back the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa, its leader Arumugam Thondaman said.
He said the CWC had discussions with UNF Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa and SLPP candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa on issues affecting the plantation sector and then came to the stance of backing Mr. Rajapaksa.
