we should have balanced approach to all our international friends and enemies too. Now tell US to give us oil at special rates and terms a of payment or take special permission from them (USA) to import oil from Iran.

USA is the largest trading partner for SL if we are sanctioned by them we will be in the grave.. Even SL's allies like CHINA also will not help us because their largest buyer also USA. Obviously they dont want to lose their businesses by being one sided.

In the 1970's we took the Chinese side for one building BMICH) and non aligned movement against the USA. The result Singapore,Taiwan, S.Korea, Japan, Thailand and Malaysia are far better than us. In the 60's Singapore president wanted his country like then Ceylon. Then most Sri lankan students had free food and milk in the schools under the USAID program.
It is wise to be under USA rather than under Iran for future prosperous. We can't saw head to one group and tail to other one. Sure they will catch it.
