The Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) condemns all acts of violence that result in further unnecessary attacks on innocent people and damages to property.
These acts of violence could be instigated by external forces, and we the members of COYLE, affirm the need for a united front to overcome this hostile situation in the country.
We must not give in to the forces that wish to disrupt the peace and harmony which we have been relishing for the past ten year post-war period. It would undoubtedly take our country back in terms of economic progress, and have a significant negative impact on industries and business enterprises, the backbone
of the economy.
As a united front and having the best interest of the country at heart, we wish to express our cohesion with the authorities and security forces during this difficult period and stand in solidarity with all Sri Lankans.
We also urge the government to take necessary action and precautions to ensure the security of the country and its people, so that similar incidents could be avoided in the future.
