Two of seven drug rehabilitants who had fled from a private drug rehabilitation centre in Dalugama, Seeduwa have been found dead in the Negombo lagoon, the Police said.

The two bodies had been found in the lagoon close to the Sedawatte church; one body had been found late last night and the other, early this morning. Police suspect they must have drowned in the lagoon.

The seven patients had escaped the rehabilitation centre on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, another one of the seven rehabilitants who fled is still missing while the other four have returned to their homes. Further investigations are being carried out by the Pamunugama Police.
