Three police personnel attacked

Three police personnel attached to the Chilaw police were admitted to the Chilaw hospital early morning today after they came under attack during an attempt to arrest a suspect wanted under a warrant.A police SI and two Constables were injured in this manner. A police team had attempted to arrest a wanted suspect under warrant and had come under attack by a gang comprising of the wanted suspect. Chilaw hospital sources added that the police personnel were not in any critical condition. (Hiran Priyankara)

Like in the US SWAT.. Sri Lanka should also have a special team or the STF should be in charge of these arrests..
