Three police personnel attached to the Chilaw police were admitted to the Chilaw hospital early morning today after they came under attack during an attempt to arrest a suspect wanted under a warrant.

A police SI and two Constables were injured in this manner. A police team had attempted to arrest a wanted suspect under warrant and had come under attack by a gang comprising of the wanted suspect. Chilaw hospital sources added that the police personnel were not in any critical condition. (Hiran Priyankara)
