Jailed former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka’s daughter Aparna Fonseka was detained at the airport for a while and released by the immigration authorities and the CID today since they had mistaken her for her elder sister Apsara Fonseka, the wife of Danuna Tilakaratne wanted in court with regard to the Hicorp case.

The incident occurred when she returned to the country from the US along with her mother Anoma Fonseka.
Mrs. Fonseka told Daily Mirror that her elder daughter had been blacklisted by the emigration authorities over these court cases involving her husband. (Kelum Bandara)
