A green anaconda housed at the Dehiwela National Zoological Gardens gave birth to 23 healthy baby anacondas last night. The last time the Anaconda gave birth was two years ago but the babies died of a bacterial infection.

Green Anacondas are known to grow to more than 8 meters, weigh more than 230 kilograms and measure more than 25 centimeters in diameter.

The females of the species are known to be significantly larger than the males. The anaconda pair in Sri Lanka was gifted to the Dehiwela Zoo by the Czech Republic.

Anacondas swallow anything. So the real anacondas are the voters of this country who swallow all the Con stories of the Politicians.

We can make a profit out of this. Why can't we send them to some other country and get some other valued species from them in return?

Anacondas are not poisonous and being with them is much safer than being with Politicians.

To avoid a repetition of the babies dying export them as soon as possible if a market could be found, that is.There is another more ghastly option-send them all to Thailand!!!!!!

    saj Monday, 12 July 2010 03:17 PM

its not a good idea mate...our ministers might enjoy a thai dish (snake dish) with these baby anacodas...

    citizen1 Monday, 12 July 2010 03:28 PM

Your right. Humans have ruined the plannet thus far and made it highly inconvenient/unlivable for other animals. Human nature can sometimes be a menace.
