President Mahinda Rajapaksa challenged the Tamil Diaspora to donate a single dollar for the welfare of the Tamils in Sri Lanka if possible if they genuinely had any feeling for them.
Addressing a ceremony to mark the commissioning of the ‘Kokavil Multi-purpose transmission tower at Kokavil in Kilinochchi today President Rajapaksa further stressed that not a single member of the so called Tamil Diaspora shouting in foreign countries to protect the rights of Tamils, has donated a single dollar for the welfare of Tamils in Sri Lanka.
“They have residences in Colombo, Kilinochchi and Jaffna. They also have residences in Chennai, Europe, Canada and the US and collect funds for the Diaspora by speaking English. Many of them do not speak Tamil. They do not know Tamil even as much as me. But they are efficient enough to collect funds for the Tamil Diaspora.,” he said.
President Rajapaksa charge that the Tamil Diaspora had used their funds not to help Tamils but to spread misinformation or utter lies to create division among the Tamils and other communities.
“What they want is to exhume their lost course of Eelam by creating mistrust among Tamils themselves and others. But the Tamil people in Sri Lanka are intelligent enough to realize this modus operandi,” he added. (Sandun A. Jayasekera)

Why should they give single dollor to their so-called Tamil brethren - they have better things to do by giving millions of dollars UNSG and UN officials including Navi Piilai. And also their millions of dollars speak well with US, UK and European parliamentries and their members. All are crooks and playing dangerous politics with the lives of innocent Sri Lankan whether they are Tamils or otherwise! Do they want to brush shoulders with their downtrodden Tamils, when they are having a ball with hierarchy of world powers? Nonsense.

SL goverment have not learnt lessons even from last 30 years. You mention tamil disapora is not 1 or 2 person of tamil almost more than 1 million of SL tamils and 1/3 of total population of SL tamil
1. They rejected all the politician and dissapointed with government policies
2. Each sinhala presidents and politician must answer today status of Sri Lanka
3. Tamil disapora take the arm of demogracy to fight again SL all over the world you cant title them as Terrorist as last time.
4. It is the big challenge to you fight again all otherwise we will construct our nation of Tamil elam.
5. MR and Sinhala politician have the last chance to realise the situtaion....If not no body can recover SL....could be same as Mynmar or Syria????
